Kabasaki Hachimangu Autumn Festival
It is said that Kabasaki Hachimangu was the place where Yoshikane Ashikaga, also known as the founder of Bannaji Temple, had closed his life, and the gravestone, on which "Ashikaga Yoshikane Mausoleum" is written stands under the floor of the main shrine.
The entire grounds of the precincts are designated as history, and the ceder on the right side of main shrine is designated as an important cultural property of Ashikaga City, as a natural monument.
As a result of excavation, this ruin was found to be valuable throughout the country as a medieval temple ruin that leaves remains of Jodo garden and main hall, and it has been designated as a National Historic Site.
At the Autumn festival, dedication of Kabasaki Hachimangu Daitai Kagura by Ujiko (people under the protection of local deity), and small shops by locals is held.
