Otsutsugayu (Fortune-telling Festival with Rice Porridge)
It is a rare Shinto ritual that has been designated as an Ashikaga City's folk cultual asset and forecast the harvest of the year.
Ujiko (People under the protection of the local deity) cook rice porridge in a large pot, then, put it in to a tube, and forecasts the harvest pf the year's agricultural crops based on the amount of rice grains and red beans in the tube.
There is still oral tradition there that if pregnant women eat "Azuki porridge" used for fortune-telling they can "Safe delivery"
