Ashikaga Park is a district park at the southern end of hill zone to the west of city center.
It has been famous as a noted place for cherry blossoms and azaleas since its establishment.
There are 10 burial mounds (round burial mounds, circular-shaped burial mounds with rectangular frontage) in the park, which are popular as a place for citizens to relax.
Also, in spring, it is very crowded with many people, as a venue for local cherry blossom festivals.
